Our mission is to keep precious heritage art alive

Artamme - The Soul of Art

The fascination that the ‘arts and crafts’ of Kashmir evoke blended with contemporary luxury was a dream conceived in the heart of the mesmerising Kashmir valley. A dream to take this blend to the world! And here we are with Artamme.`

Kashmir has been bestowed with people who have mastered the art of crafting with their hands. The skill, passed on through generations, has thrived with cultural traditions and artisanal expertise.

The pashmina weaving, the Tilla work, Aari work, Paper Mache, and other art forms evoke a deep enchantment in art lovers across the world.

Blending luxury into this opulent craftsmanship, ever so seamlessly and effortlessly, and redefining what it means to wear a piece of art has driven us and kept us motivated at Artamme.

As we embark on this arduous journey we promise you, ourselves, and our craftsmen that every creation at Artamme is going to be an embodiment of the artistry this breathtakingly beautiful valley has been known for.

Artamme crafts and creates pieces that are cherished as possessions and owned as an ode to Kashmir – every stitch bearing the stories of our artisans and their legacy of commitment to this art form.

Every art and every trade has been for the upliftment of humans. One of the most important manifestations of the realisation of Artamme will be the betterment of the artisans of Kashmir.

The artisans have poured their passion, hard work and creativity into preserving the art forms, undeterred by challenging circumstances in Kashmir. Artamme is going to be a means of realisation of their dreams as well.

Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve and perpetuate the rich cultural and traditional artistic heritage of Kashmir, while we add a contemporary luxurious experience to it. We are committed to presenting the world with the exquisite beauty and craftsmanship that define our Pashmina shawls, handicrafts, embroidery and other art forms – ensuring that this timeless tradition endures for generations to come.

Our Brand

The making and possession of a Kashmiri shawl is a sentimental experience, rooted in centuries-old tradition. Our brand is a testament to our dedicated craftsmen meticulously crafting intricate details on fragile cashmere wool. Each piece is the work of human hands, from its spinning and weaving to dyeing and embroidery, it is the outcome of an age-old tradition, inherited from the first weavers of Kashmir. Crafting a single masterpiece demands the expertise of a minimum of four to five skilled artisans, and it often takes several months of artistic work to bring a single masterpiece to life.
